Meet the Staff
Service Crew

Daniel Welty - He started with Buchmyer’s in the spring of 2003 as a service helper and by the end of 2004 was leading his own service crew. He enjoys the people he works with and being able to work outside. He also likes the seasonal schedule which gives him more time to spend with his daughter.
Brian Fischer - He started in the pool industry in 1991 and has been a service technician and construction manager. He joined the Buchmyer’s family shortly after his wife Mel, the manager of the Hanover store, in 2008 and has been with us as a service crew leader. He enjoys the technical aspect of service and troubleshooting equipment problems.
Kevin Ness - He started with Buchmyer’s in the spring of 2003 as a service helper and by the end of 2004 was leading his own service crew. Being able to work outside is a major perk for him and the seasonal hours allow him to pursue his passion for music production and qualifying for the PGA tour.
Jesse “Red” Baublitz - Red came to Buchmyer’s in 2005 because many of his friends already worked here. He splits his time here between the service crews and the aboveground construction.


Renovation Crew
Chris Feltman - Chris started at Buchmyer’s in 1988 and has since worked in every aspect of service (being the only tech for several years) and construction (inground and aboveground). He currently oversees the renovations and aboveground construction crews, he also does inground sales. He met his wife, Kriste Buchmyer here, and with their two children enjoys hockey, hunting and fishing in his spare time.
Mike Schafer - He started here in March of 1999 on the service team and stayed in service for 10 years. He then moved to renovations, replacing liners and rebuilding older pools. Outside of work he is into music and playing bass and guitar with his bands.


Inground Construction
Steve Ballard - He started in the pool industry in 1981 and has done service, liner replacements, and inground installation. He currently works on inground installations and renovations. He enjoys working outside and working with his hands.


York Office and Retail
Steph Berkheimer - Steph started at buchmyer’s pools with her neighbors Ken and Susie in march of 1986. She has been involved in every facet of the business in the many years since. She is now in charge of the purchasing and inventory of products. Working at Buchmyer’s has been a challenging but rewarding experience for her over the years as well as being a part of providing backyard swimming fun for our customers.
Kriste Buchmyer-Feltman - Kriste started working for her parents around the age 11. She was very excited when they opened the first store, where she helped stock shelves and do cleaning. She continued to work in the store until moving into running the service department in 1995 where she has been ever since while trying to find time to learn how to run the company from her mom, Susie. When she met her husband, Chris here in 1988, she would sit on the back of his truck talking up a storm while he unloaded everyday. Buchmyer’s has grown and made so many changes along the way, and it has been a real blessing in her life to share the journey with her parents, husband and now her own children, who also love coming into work. She loved being here as a kid and still loves being here today.
Hallie Palmer - She started here in 2004 as a retail clerk and quickly found that the family atmosphere was exactly what she was looking for. Over the following years she became an intrical part of the retail store and office. In 2011 she became the York location store manager, as well as helping to coordinate the renovations. She enjoys the fast pace of the busy seasons and the quiet winters.
Scott Sprenkle - He started in may of 1998 and is the sales manager in charge of aboveground pool and pellet stove sales as well as overseeing the schedule and installation of the aboveground pools. Scott does all the advertising for both the York and Hanover store. He takes pleasure in showing new pool owners how easy it is to own and operate their new pool.
Tom Chronister - Tom, with many years of sales experience, joined his Aunt Susie and Uncle Ken in 1993 as an aboveground salesman in the York location. Tom also helps customers in the retail store where he enjoys helping with all their swimming pool needs.
Nancy Kiel - Nancy is behind the scenes here at Buchmyers as the bookkeeper. She processes the payroll and pays bills. She likes working at Buchmyer's because she loves spending money!


Hanover Store
Melanie Fischer - Mel has been in the pool industry since 2001. She is the Hanover retail manager, is the safety cover salesperson, and handles the renovations. She likes working at Buchmyer’s because it’s a fun, friendly, family oriented environment.
Kim Warehime - She started here in 2005. She is the asst store manager at Hanover. She handles customer service, water testing/troubleshooting, pool sales, & general all around store stuff. Kim likes working with the customers and making their pool a fun place to be over the summer.
Sonya Rojo - Sonya started at Buchmyer’s in 2007, she has worked in both the York and Hanover store, but she is primarily in Hanover. The atmosphere and great customers are what she enjoys, as well as the educational enrichment.
